I'm not sure how common they are on dA, but in the writing world ethnicity is either not mentioned or I presume them to be Caucasian.... because I'm racist and all that crap.
Anyway, I love the setting you chose for Cassandra -- it's not your typical battle, and she's just eating at a diner and not doing anything Mary Sue-ish or whatever. Just a trainer, going about her business... I like it. I like it a lot.
