Toy Girls is my new series of digital illustrations where I redraw female young characters from fiction in the style I have created, having inspiration from Butch Hartman and the cartoon Grojband. Here, I want to exploit the cuteness, one of the things that sell the most, using a charming drawing and a funny theme. However, because I wanted to be more serious, I have created a logo to represent this project, and I also put these drawing on Theme Cards, putting the name of the characters in a typography that resembles the one from the Original Media’s Title, the name of the show, book, comic, film from where I took the characters, and even a Series Number, just like a toy.

    A important fact here, I called this series Toy Girls to emphasize the CUTENESS of his series, aka the same feeling you experiment when you see a puppy playing with a ball, a baby crawling while babbling, a boy giving a flower to his mother (IT’S NO THE SAME AS SENSUALITY!!!), because plenty of toys are designed to look cute, especially if they are dolls or for little kids, and that’s why I called this series like “Toy Girls”, because I to want to make the characters look cute, NOT SEXY!!! Please, let’s not start problems over stupid stuffs that n one intends to do.

     

    This series is going to be weekly, publish a work every Friday. So yes, all the illustrations will be fanarts, characters from an already existing fictional work. But here’s the kicker: I will not only publish works of characters I want to, but I will also ACCEPT REQUESTS. I want people to participate in this project, and I also want to make this last, and I don’t know everything. Here’s another detail, this Project will consist of three main series at this moment:

     

    The Shelf Series.-The main one, where I will put the characters I liked the most, and also the ones I like from the requests, but they must be from a Fictional Drawn Media, CGI and Stopmotion are included, but not Live Action. Also, it’s just one character per series.

     

    The Catalogue Series.-Here I will put the characters from the request that I don’t like very much, and the characters I like, but I have already touch its work on the Shelf Series.

     

    The Art Crafts Series.-Here there will be the characters people request me from Live Action Works or from Literature without an Official Image.
